ClickUp: Clunky at Best
“Overall I was not very pleased with my experience. I used it for a while, but was frustrated with the interface and flow of tasks. It almost felt like more of a task to manage my tasks. My notes app could work better it many situations. I'm not a big proponent of this software.” Pros: “ClickUp has some good features. Their dashboard is nice and pretty easy to navigate. The collaboration is high quality too. I'm able to communicate well with my supervisor on projects we have to accomplish on a timeline.” Cons: “ClickUp is clunky at best. It's challenging to navigate and the process automations aren't intuitive or effective in my opinion. Managing many clients/locations of our business is challenging and the boards and timelines don't work easily. There was little to no support with set up and the customer service didn't seem to be the most responsive. Although it is fairly cheap, it shows in the quality. Value for money isn't worth it in my opinion. We switched to another project management software and have had much better success.”

The easy way to project
Pros: “The dashboard is very easy to be used. It's very simple to share your project with workers and eventually family.” Cons: “When a new AI chat is opened, the size is to big in order to contine working and have the chat open. You always need to resize it.”

An excellent Project Management app for mid size businesses.
“As my team has grown I find it great in order to plan complext projects and keep the pulse as projects avance and evolve. But for personal or small projects, I still prefer to use something that requires less tinkering.” Pros: “ClickUp has become really great at managing projects for mid size teams. The system is flexible enough to solve most planning and supervision problems for complex projects.” Cons: “ClickUp has become very cumbersome for personal use and small teams. Too many options to set up makes you waste time. This is valuable if your orgnaization is big enough and is worth the effort. But if you are a one-person team or a really small group of people trying to accomplish something, this may not be for you. Document management has improved a lot, but it is only valuable if you intend to live inside this ecosystem only.”

Good but needs improvement.
“Good but it can be a lot better. When you set up something well, it’s nice. But that takes a lot of doing to get right. Features that are half baked are letdowns.” Pros: “I like how you can format things in more than one way. You can choose should something be a folder, or just a list for example, and have it make sense either way.” Cons: “I think the pros are also the cons. It’s so flexible that you can get lost in the flexibility sometimes and build things the wrong way. The templates are lacking. There are features that exist but have terrible UX like the mind map and the whiteboard or whatever it’s called. Very hard to use.”

The best tool to manage your life
“I love it. I was put on to it when I was a VA. And I switched from notion. I love how everything connects together, and how you can keep everything in one place. I love the native automations too. It helps me a lot and how you can customize ClickUp to how you work.” Pros: “I love using ClickUp to manage my business. This is how I keep track of everything from clients, content, projects, collaborations, meal planning etc” Cons: “The only thing is the difference when using it on an iPad. ClickUp has saved me a lot of time
“Since it houses the files in one place, I’m not having to dig through 500 emails like a lunatic. I can visually see how much work the creative people are doing and whether or not they are drowning. It’s nice I no longer have to manually repeat the same tasks each Monday morning because the automation actually works.” Pros: “It was very fast to set up for our group of ten people. The person they sent to teach us was relentless and so everybody eventually figured it out. Connecting to Slack wasn’t as bad of an experience as I thought it would be either.” Cons: “The entire screen will freeze while I’m moving cards around sometimes and it gets me to the point where I want to throw my mouse across the room. I also wish that the proofing add on would allow me to do frame by frame review, as right now, it’s not detailed enough for the video team. There are far too many menus to google through.”
