G2 ★★★★★Versatile and Customizable, and possibly the best starter option for new companies starting out
Pros: “What stands out to me most about ClickUp is its versatility and deep customization. It has essentially given us a unified, central command center for managing everything from creative content creation and design assets to event coordination and administrative task tracking for items assigned to our team members.” Cons: “At first, ClickUp feels like one of the best options on the market in terms of ROI and easy onboarding. Over time, though, as you start to hit the limits around embedded Drive docs/files and other features you assumed would be permanent from the beginning, it becomes a drawback to have to re-evaluate your workflow because some capabilities end up behind paywalls. Even so, ClickUp still seems like one of the best choices overall, given the sheer number of features and the flexibility it offers at almost no cost.”

G2 ★★★★★Incredible Product. Incredibly Buggy
Pros: “Clickup is really robust and very customizable for any sort of job or company or task or project. If you've been searching for a project management software for very long, this set of features is probably what you've been looking for. When I first got it, I was absolutely in love with it for being able to handle anything I used it for.” Cons: “This software has amazing features and is very customizable for any sort of workflow; HOWEVER, since adding on more and more features, it has gotten to be so buggy to the point where it is essentially unusable at times. You add a task, and it doesn't show up, so you add it again, and then you have two. You move a task to a new column on your Kanban board and it shows back up where it was. I don't know if it's the codebase itself or the servers where it's all hosted, but it truly does become impossible to use for days at a time. IF it did everything it's capable of, it would be hands down the best project management available. As it is right now, it's hard to recommend. I would gladly take half as many features if it were actually reliable. It's extremely frustrating to see them constantly adding "new things" when the current version is so difficult to use.”

G2 ★★★★★Highly Customizable, Integration-Rich, and Fast, Solution-Oriented Support
Pros: “I like that it's very customizable. For project management purposes, it's really important that we can customize our system based on how we use it. With ClickUp, we are able to do that. I also like that they have a lot of integrations, which is nice because you can already work with ClickUp without going back to the platform every time you need to. Their Customer Service is also impressive. They are fast and very solution-oriented.” Cons: “I don't like that they release a lot of new features, but some of their existing features lack performance. I suggest that they focus on making these features seamless before working on a new one. I also don't like that they are expensive and have a lot of paywall.”

G2 ★★★★★Great for organizing university software projects with a small learning curve
Pros: “The task management system is straightforward once you get used to it, and I found the dashboards useful for getting a quick overview of what was in progress and what still needed to be completed. Having different views available, like List, Board, and Calendar, also made it easier to manage the project depending on what we wanted to focus on.” Cons: “I think the biggest challenge for me was the learning curve.”

G2 ★★★★★Everything in One Place for Organized, Flexible Task Management
Pros: “Everything is in one place, and my work stays well organized. I also like the flexibility it gives me when setting up tasks and lists, since there’s a lot of freedom in how I can structure everything.” Cons: “The chat feature feels a bit clumsy. It’s a great addition, but when someone sends me something, I have to close what I’m working on and then open the chat to see it.”

G2 ★★★★★Highly Customisable with an Extensive Free Plan
Pros: “Highly customisable, you can change the view and layout as per your needs. The Free plan is extensive.” Cons: “Since there are a lot of features it can feel overwhelming for a first time user and the layout can look a bit cluttered at times”

G2 ★★★★★Keeps Daily Operations Organized and Effective
Pros: “The thing I appreciate the most about ClickUp is the easy organization, and how flexible it is in adapting to every user's workflow. Everything is intuitive to find and use. Additionally, it's always fast and consistent, making it an ideal platform to use for day to day operations.” Cons: “The unfortunate side of Clickup is their updates. Their updates include UI changes and give you features you didn't ask for, with no way to roll it back or disable new features you don't like. I've had it to before where the update restricted the amount of information I could see, slowing down my workflow instead of speeding it up.”

G2 ★★★★★ClickUp Centralizes Tasks, Communication, and Project Management in One Place
Pros: “ClickUp centralises everything I need to run my studio: tasks, project management, CRM, docs, and comms all in one place. As a solo business owner wearing many hats, having one system instead of five is genuinely transformative. It's not perfect, and there's plenty I'd improve, but I haven't found anything else that covers this much ground in a single tool.” Cons: “Email integration is too weak. The IMAP setup is bare-bones: Emails only form threads if the email was started in clickup. You can't automate emails as client communications, you can't insert task fields into email templates (e.g. Hi [First Name]), can't reply to comments made by email from in the app, and it doesn't support the kind of personalised, CRM-style communication a solo business needs. This is my biggest frustration right now.”

“It was ok, but generally created more frustration that it was worth” Pros: “Easy to use and assign tasks to various employees” Cons: “Frequently would lose recurring tasks, would have to recreate items every couple of days.”

Capterra ★★★★★Managing Tasks & Time
“For personal use I think it's great to keep your productivity on track. The free plan gives you a generous amount of options to use but if you need more options for teams you'll have to upgrade.” Pros: “This a one stop app for tasks, goals, mind maps documents the lot. Reminders and events can sync with everyone involved to ensure productivity stays high. Customer service was also pretty good.” Cons: “Their A.I feature is at best mediocre with an additional fee per month. There isn't a feature to create invoices and bill inside the app. The proofing option wasn't as robust as I would've liked either.”

Capterra ★★★★★A messy product
Pros: “There's a lot of interesting stuff happening with the AI integration, this software is pushing what the agentic integrations can do and I enjoy the prospect of automations in my project management software” Cons: “I can't understand how this was created, the tools here are incomprehensible. Things get lost in ClickUp so easily and it frustrates myself and all my coworkers to have to track things down every single time we have a conversation outside a top level task.”

Capterra ★★★★★A Sophisticated Command Center
“ClickUp serves as a highly sophisticated command center for anyone looking to streamline complex operations. It bridges the gap between granular task tracking and high-level project oversight beautifully. While the premium tiers demand a higher financial investment, the sheer depth of consolidation and time saved makes the price rate a highly justifiable expense for professionals who value a truly comprehensive digital environment.” Pros: “ClickUp’s greatest strength lies in its unparalleled flexibility. It successfully moves beyond the rigid structures of traditional project management software, allowing users to customize views(from elegant Kanban boards to detailed Gantt charts)without cluttering the user interface. Theres ability to centralize tasks, docs, and goals in one cohesive ecosystem eliminates digital friction and significantly elevates daily productivity. It feels less like a tool and more like a digital workspace.” Cons: “While the platform is incredibly powerful, its vast feature set comes with a noticeable learning curve. Initial configuration can feel slightly overwhelming for new team members. Additionally, navigating the pricing structure requires careful assessment; while the entry-level tiers are quite accessible, unlocking advanced features like complex automations and resource management requires stepping up to the higher-paid tiers, which can add up quickly for growing teams.”
